Meet the Staff

Director

Jodi Hardin joined the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in April 2007 as the Smart Start Colorado Director.  As Director, Jodi is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Smart Start Colorado Strategic Plan.

Prior to this position, Jodi worked eight years in two community programs focused on improving outcomes for children with special needs and their families.  As Part C Coordinator with Early Childhood Connections for Arapahoe and Douglas, she provided interagency leadership to improve access to and coordination of early intervention and community supports for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.  At the Denver Health Children and Families Program, Jodi functioned on multidisciplinary care coordination teams and provided health and developmental education to families and community partners.

Jodi received a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and was a Maternal and Child Health Fellow at the University Affiliated Program at the University of New Mexico.
