Becoming a Partner

Are you interested in becoming a Smart Start Colorado Partner?

You will join a growing movement of early childhood professionals, policy makers, funders and parents dedicated to creating a comprehensive system for young children in Colorado. We are working together to connect early care and education, health, mental health and family support services to create a strong network at the state and local levels. By joining us, you lend your talent and support to building a better future for Colorado's children.

Smart Start Colorado Partners are diversified groups of people working together for systems change. At the state level Partners are collaborative associations such as the Colorado Early Childhood Summit and state agencies like The Colorado Department of Education. At the local level - county, city or region - Partners may include coalitions such as a Consolidated Child Care Pilot, an Interagency Coordinating Council, a Colorado Preschool Program Advisory Council, or a new early childhood council that includes the following stakeholders:

  • Local School District(s)
  • The County Department (i.e., Human Services)
  • Private for-profit and non-profit licensed providers representing child care centers, family child care homes and preschools
  • Local Resource and referral agency or agencies
  • Local Health Department or Departments
  • Local Mental Health community or communities
